Chinese Weapons Ship To Head Home?
A series of updates to my earlier post about the plight of the An Yue Jiang, a Chinese cargo vessel currently searching for a suitable African port to offload a shipment of bullets, rockets, and mortars bound for Zimbabwe:
UPDATE (1:00pm, EST): McClatchy says the ship is headed back to China.

I was heartened to read that the South African workers had refused the arms shipment from China headed for the Mugabe government in Zimbabwe. The more Africans reach out to take care of their own political disasters, the better. I did find it ridiculously hypocritical for the US, France,Russia or Great Britain to go trumpeting about this outrageous action from the Chinese. Come of boys, who has been the main supplier to every other African, Asian and Latin American dictator in the last two centuries? I don't recall reading in the main stream press any criticisms of arms shipments from our beloved 'Security Council' members. Why those nasty Chinese...selling arms to bad guys, I never!!
