We don't trust Obama. We think that he is a closet racist. But, of course, we will tell the pollsters that we will vote for him, so on election day when the actual numbers don't match the polls, we can say that the GOP stole the election.

I think it's funny how ppl say Obama is a closet racist when McCain was the one who used a racial slur about Asians while in office. Supposedly it was ok, consider asians tortured him (ok, I agree with that sort of) but doesn't that also mean rev. J.Wright's anti-white rhetoric would be ok because he was oppressed for twenty years?

If the RIGHT WING EXTREMIST REPUBLICANS have made a video trying to make it appear that Obama's wife called white people "whiteys" and think it means anything significant, they had better get a clue. Calling a person white that's white doesn't mean anything anymore than calling a person black that is black. Why REPUBLICANS would think that is significant only shows how much out of touch they are with the country.

Obama is change and without change our country is going to be history. Neither McCain nor any of the Libertian REPUBLICANS running against McCain, trying to give REPUBLICANS someone other than McCain to vote for in order to keep the presidency for the REPUBLICANS, are any kind of change, all of them are business as usual. Obama is the only candidate that is for change -- real change -- and real change is what we want and is what our country needs.

In addition to that, from posts you've left before, you just do not have a clue, do you? Every post I've read of yours has been filled with untrue statements, hateful insults about Senator Obama and just plain stupid statements.

I'm sure your home town has a school, try going there. You might actually learn something.

Conservative teaching in American school is that Native Americans are RED, Chinese are YELLOW, Africans are BLACK and everyone else is WHITE, No BROWN or various shades of brown was ever mentioned. I am of Native American Cherokee ancestry and never have ever thought Native Americans to be RED. Chinese are not YELLOW and supposed WHITE people are not WHITE. Not all Europeans are WHITE. Not all European Americans are WHITE. There are all shades in Europe, just like in Israel. But, that being said, the question was about the significance of being called "whitey". That doesn't seem to me to be of any great significance enough to be made an issue.

You will notice in the above poll, that supposed white people have been specified white, NOT Euro-Americans, black people are called African Americans, and Chinese and Native Americans have just been totally left out.

I think color should not be specified at all, because the simple fact of specifying color is prejudice, as the color of ones skin should be insignificant. Hopefully some day this will be learned.

Also, Asian Americans were left off the above poll on this thread.

MarthaA you are really confused by wanting to be yellow. Calling EuroAmericans white is insulting. EuroAmericans have diversity just like anyother race. Calling EuroAmericans "White" is racism, even if it is closet racists. These bigots must be called out.

That was her dubious strength. Now she's gone. But McCain has no idea what he's up against. If he thinks a Town Hall Meeting will show him in the best light, I have news for him: Obama will have him for breakfast.[Was that a burp we heard?] Hillary was correct without knowing it: "The heavens will open and the angels will sing..." McCain has met his "able"...Obama is very able to take control of this Presidential campaign and will be able to defeat all contenders and all the rumor-mongers now maligning him online. He's way ahead of them. It won't matter about "white" women, pink women, purple independents, red or blue states...he's building a rainbow and that always comes out after a storm
