House Oversight Committee Subpoenas Attorney General for Bush, Cheney FBI Transcripts on Plame
Following up on its letter to him last week, the House Oversight and Government Reform committee has issued a subpoena to Attorney General Michael Mukasey. The subpoena demands that the attorney general turn over to the committee the transcripts of the FBI's interviews with President Bush and Vice President Cheney regarding their knowledge of the outing of former CIA covert officer Valerie Plame Wilson. It also requests unredacted copies of documents already in the committee's possession.

...and while Mojo and the rest of the media gobble up this pablum being fed by our Darling Democrats, ("Look over Here..., NOT over There!") Pelosi keeps impeachment officially "Off the Table" so that absolutely NOTHING of substance will come of this, while Senate Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and his ilk, as of Friday, are helping Bush slide a dagger between the emaciated ribs of the Bill of Rights...
["UPDATE #2: From the ACLU:
“This FISA deal looks like the unconstitutional Senate bill in sheep’s clothing. Whatever silk purse Hoyer tries to make of Bond's sow's ear and no matter how they try to sell it, the end result of all this negotiating will be exactly what the administration has wanted from the beginning - FISA rewritten to delete court oversight of surveillance and immunity for its pals at the telephone companies.”
“From the language we’ve seen, we’re back at square one, looking at a bill just like the old Senate bill that lacks meaningful judicial involvement. The Fourth Amendment requires prior and individual court review before the government digs into our private conversations. It is clear the next vote will be on a bill that fails this test – by permitting the government to conduct mass untargeted surveillance, sometimes without prior court review, and sometimes with prior court review – and then only when the government unilaterally decides that it is willing and able to answer to the judicial branch.”]

You think you're going to effect "Change" by giving the Democrats more control?
If so, you've accepted the ear plugs and blinders.
The only thing you're REALLY going to "Change" will be names on office doors, and nominal party affiliations of those "names".
(There's only ONE major party in this country, and it has two nearly interchangable wings, called the Democrats and the Republicans.)
Accept it, or do something REAL to change it, but be sure you KNOW IT!!
A Congressional Subpoena is nothing to mess around with, so surely Attorney General Mukasey will show for questioning, although it is like pulling hen's teeth to get an unredacted copy of any kind of evidence out of this Bush administration.
Media Circus:
I really think this time with the Obama's administration we will have change that will be more than just names on office doors, especially if we do our job and vote out all the Bush Democrats that vote with Bush all the time. The Congressional primary is coming up in July for my state, check with your election board for the date in your state and vote them out.
