Minnesota Senate Race Hits an Embarrassing Low
Maybe you've been following the latest developments in the Franken-Coleman Senate race in Minnesota. Liberal bloggers got worked up last week at the possibility that Coleman's wife Laurie had been green-screened into a odd-looking TV ad. It was further evidence, they said, that the Colemans, who reportedly live apart while Laurie pursues a career in LA as a model and actress, have an unconventional or strained relationship. The video is at right.
But instead of just releasing video clips that make it evident no green-screening was used, the Coleman campaign decided instead to mock the whole situation and Franken himself with a second video, one that looks like it was made by a high-schooler. Is the second Coleman video supposed to be amateurish? Of course. Does it lower the state of the debate and embarrass the campaign anyway? No doubt.
Let's leave the jokes to the professionals, okay Norm?

Pardon me, but liberal bloggers have no business commenting on any candidates marital situation and if the shoe was on the other foot they'd be screaming bloody murder. What's more, the second video may very well 'lower the state of debate,' but Franken is pretty much lowest common denominator so in the broad scheme of things should anyone really care.
Despite the fact that I would support Al Franken if I lived up there, I think the second ad is hilarious. Especially since I couldn't care less if his wife was green-screened into the first one.
I'm sure Dan (above) thought someone's marital situation was relevant when it was Clinton/Jennifer Flowers/Monica Lewinsky or Gary Hart/Donna Rice.

Actually no. I never have care, no matter what side of the ideological isle they sit. I don't selectively criticize, and certainly someone who's paid to offer opinions shouldn't either.

dan, welcome to the internet. as it's obviously your first time here i'll try to explain some of the basics for you.
first, any piece of news is fit for commentary, including the marital relations of politicians. for evidence of this, please review the following cases:
clinton, william jefferson
lincoln, mary todd
jackson, andrew
secondly, your opinion on who has business doing what is worthless everywhere except your own blog.
now the internet is a big place, look around and enjoy yourself.
