McCain Complains About Congressional Recess After Missing 367 Votes
This seems legitimate...
McCain took Congress to task for taking a July 4 recess without completing action on a housing rescue plan, calling it "incredible that Congress should go on vacation while Americans are trying to stay in their homes."
...until you realize that John McCain has missed 367 votes in the 110th Congress. He is the most absent member of the Senate.

I'm always weary when one person takes a higher tone of I'm right and you're wrong...the whole throwing stones in a glass house... McCain scares me.
It's the "don't do as I do, do as I say" method of commenting on Congress.

C'mon now, you can't fault the guy for forgetting his absentee status - he's 105! His brain is tired!

With a comment like this, made in all seriousness I'm sure, McCain reveals himself for the out-of-touch man he is. thank you for your service, sir, but what a foolish statement. you're not even doing your job and you complain about others not doing theirs!?!?

Does this count as a flip-flop on the issue of attendance?

CONGRESS SCHEDULED FOR HEAD SURGERY
Congressional health being at an all time low indicates that the Kennedy Liberals and Reagan Conservatives have set a guillotine date for the desperately united Leiberman Neo-Libs and Podhoretz Neo-Cons, for the their notorious subversive Neo-Marxist contempt of Christian Culture and Constitutional Law. For the illegal Iraq War for Israel, for the illegal Mexican occupation, for the sacrificial killing of children, for the outsourcing of jobs and technology to China, for the subprime loans and stock trading scam, and for the consequent recession and inflation; a rallying cry shall be “off with their heads”.

Oh it seems the unemployed got to comment on this way before I got home from my 2 jobs. Anyways…Funny the “right wrong” comment above whenever you can’t question anything the messiah Obama says without instantly being discredited as a racist. As far as the out of touch comments? Do you think Obama or any 50million dollar candidate is in touch with reality? Ask Al Gore how his private jet and mansions are helping eliminate his carbon footprint. I think both presidential candidates are clowns who don’t represent anything close to the majority of the average American however. I usually wouldn’t take the time out to comment, but WTF- - I never subscribe to liberal blogs / news and I get these all the time. Good job lunatics who spend their day in their mom’s basement spamming thousands of clicks to spread these kind of stories in the wrong categories!

McCain has made it a habit to skip voting on issues where his vote does not matter to the voting outcome when he is out of step with the Republican party.
This began when he started shifting from the "maverick" image to someone who could actually get something done occasionally. That is appearing to be more in step without actually changing his view points.
Personally I'm not sure if that is a plus or a negative on his character, but it certainly is pragmatic.
