It is stunning that Firoina would make such a comment. It may turn out to be a gaff that she never lives down and angers McCain enough to kick her off his team. I got the impression that she thought being a CEO was much more difficult and required far more experience than being President of the US. Perhaps, that is her ego talking or because she is surrounded by those obviously less intelligent like McCain, Palin and Bush, she thinks the job of President requires little if any intelligence and experience.

Hey, Kelli - you missed the point completely. It was not whether or not the candidates are qualified to run a corporation, it's the fact that one of McCain's surrogates admitted that McCain cannot. Of course she'd say that the dems couldn't; it's the fact she admitted her guy can't that was so surprising.

The President of the REPUBLICAN RIGHT WING is not the president of all, only of the 10% RIGHT WING. The job of President for the REPUBLICAN RIGHT WING can be run by an actor who can learn his script. Reagan learned his script and was a great presidential actor in the movies, then as a real life president, as Reagan followed his script well, elite "Marie Antoinette" Bush II plays ignorant, but follows the script, even though he has been and still is a pitiful actor, but not so with the acquired elitedom McCain/Palin, both being ignorant and not actors at all, will do their best to follow the REPUBLICAN script and be decidedly worse than Bush II, although now it doesn't seem one could be worse, McCain/Palin will mess up the script, because they actually think they know what they are doing, but will further the demise of our nation to where the nation that we did know, will never again be recognizable.

This month's Atlantic has a typical picture of McCain on the cover, a head shot focused on the right side of his face. It is still impossible to miss the swollen gland on his left side. Given his problems with melanoma, this shot along with the ignorant statements made by Palin, and her enthusiasm for war with Russia, even the slow witted conservatives should be asking themselves some serious questions. Still, after 8 years of Bush playing dumb, we may well be headed for the genuine article, a veep and potential president who isn't very bright and utterly incurious.
