Three branches of government in every state, mirroring the structure of the Federal Gov't.

Executive.

Legislative.

Judicial.

The Judicial branch was never given the power to make laws.

Now personally, I don't think any level or branch of governmet has any business presuming to define for individual citizens, with individual beliefs, what marriage is, or is not.

But I also don't think we ought to let government step outside of it's Constitutional boundaries just because we like what they did this time.

Simple logic and caution instinct ought to be sending up a red flag, because you can bet your a$$ that the next time, or the time after that, we very much won't like what they take it upon themselves to decide when the overstep their Constitutionally defined limits.
