The weird thing is that someone like Ayers, who had been there and knows how this kind of thing happens, might be the best advisor a president could have in keeping it from happening again. Let's face it, there are plenty of crooks, known and unknown, in Washington, and the sort of Realpolitik the Repugs seem to want requires dealing with them.
