The case against torture is well known: it doesn't provide reliable information,it it endangers our own troops at the hands of people wanting revenge, and it's a documented cause of the reprisals called terrorism. (The Algerian War is worth a study.)
Torture violates our basic founding principles and it is no coincidence that it is being espoused by an administration that disdains the rule of law and wishes to have dictatorial power.
If you asked me 10 years ago if Americans would ever support torture, I would have laughed. what happened? who the hell raised you animals? Has history taught you nothing? War crimes beget more war crimes. That is why there were so many instances of brutal torture on their side shortly after the abu ghraib stories hit the news.
Mother[deleted]ers like you are thinking with your reptilian brain. Either evolve or do us all a favor and line up for sterilization.
We tortured ones
Wake at night
At the slightest sound
Defenses driven by memories
Fearing past pain found
We tortured ones
Wake at night
In terror of what could come
Knowing too well
Unspeakable things once done
We tortured ones
Wake at night
In loud or silent scream
Answering questions
Without knowing what they mean
We tortured ones
Wake at night
In combative fearful waves
Shouting never again
Struggling too be saved
We tortured ones
Wake at night
Feeling and smelling Burnt pulp flesh
Tasting fear and blood
In a [deleted] piss mess
We tortured ones
Wake at night
Feeling helpless without hope
Touched by tools of fire
Restrained with chafing ropes
We tortured ones
Wake at night
Lost and forsaken
Whimpering ashamed
Of all that was taken
Forever remembering it's name
We tortured ones
Wake at night
Knowing evils done
