Like other big donors from the telecom industry, Daly and Semel are likely to be pushing for deregulation, specifically for legislation that opens up the video business, expanding the market for Warner products. They'd presumably also like to avoid legislation that forces entertainment providers to set aside time for public service or educational children's programming (both financial losers), as well as anti-trust legislation that would prevent them from buying TV stations.
