Non-affiliated Candidates

If there's one thing that's become apparent about Campaign '96, it's that the public and the media are less than enthusiastic about the current flock of presidential hopefuls. While voters look elsewhere for candidates to believe in, the two major parties continue to lose power and esteem. As if to prove the point, unaffiliated and undeclared potential candidates are stealing the show from those who've already joined the fray.

  • Colin Powell -- Though out of the race now, Powell remains a major player on the campaign scene.

  • Ross Perot -- Ole Ross is being coy about another bid for the White House. Imagine that.

  • Bill Bradley -- Democratic Senator has threatened to challenge Clinton as an independent.

  • Lowell Weicker, Jr. -- The former independent Connecticut governor has hinted at entering the race.
