Tom Shellenberg

Tom Shellenberg has got to be the first CPA to run for president. He's the only Republican candidate who's pledging to cut the military, and the only candidate from any party who's promising to balance the budget in one year. Honesty may be another unique attribute of Tom's. He freely admits that his plan would both raise taxes and cut entitlement programs.

This one-in-a-million (as in odds of winning) candidate has already outlined his "one-year plan" in his upcoming book, "Balance the Budget Now and How - The Silver Lining." Does this guy hope to win? Obviously not, but deficit hawks will love his gumption.
