That's very simple. Immigrants provide essential services for our society. Remember that image of a superhero rescuing a cat from a tree, or saving people from burning buildings? Sure you do. So why can't you see the significance here?

And as far as law breaking; well, sometimes injustice is done in the name of the Law.

Remember, those people who helped slaves in the underground railroad where also breaking the law during their time. It was against the law but it was right. These people are doing what is right. They are giving their families a better life. You try living in Mexico on $4 dollars a day.

Bill's comment emphasizes another overlap: In the comic book world, superheroes are often stigmatized.

Why is no one upset that they are sending American money back "home". I'm all for supporting your family, I know that they need the work and I know that they provide services that the average American will refuse to do, but quite frankly illegals are hurting the American economy. We are in a really bad recession right now and the last things we need are our money going to other countries and our tax dollars being spent on people who aren't paying taxes. I realize that there may be extreme circumstances but if the government makes one exception, they are obligated to make an exception for everyone. The American economy can't afford to make anymore exceptions. And, yes, I also realize that these photos are necessarily of illegal immigrants but that's just made me think of the current American situation.

Bill, no one wants to do the jobs that immigrants do. They are the American equivalent of the "Untouchables" caste. If all illegal immigrants suddenly left, the comfortable life you enjoy as Americans would come crashing down. Your grocery stores would be empty of food. Your lawns would be 10 feet high. Your garbage would pile up on the street corners. Heck, you wouldn't even be able to keep stuffing your fat obese ass with the fast food you love so much because no fast food cooks would exist. They are your slave class and you ENJOY the benefits of their hard work. You are such a hypocrite it makes me want to puke all over your ignorant face.

Earlier this year, I read a reaction post on the LA times blog. This post covered an advertisement of an alcohol brand which general communications policy is to create an alternate view of the world. The reaction from Angelinos and other U.S inhabitants was absolutely disgusting. And here I thought the escape-goating was only reserved for those with less exposure to Media which isn't biased. But how wrong I was!! I can't blame anyone though, I mean I'f had gone into someone else's plundering into someone's home, over and over again, and by doing so made myself believe that I was invincible. And through Sanctimony made myself out to be the "most" righteous in the world, I would of course be devastated if someone came to my home and broke the windows. I would probably be paranoid after that and want to keep everyone and everything out of my house. I can only imagine this is how everyone else in the world has felt. So I would be blinded by my paranoia, and would not be able to see other's contributions to my world as important, because when hurt all I would want to do is to keep my self "safe." So rather than be offended by all the comments here posted...I will try to understand that this country has been hit by "terrorist," it still not at the level of understanding their responsibility in the events, and thus is still not ready to move on, from this self imposed ideas of "fear and terror"..so will blame one and all for their situation...
