If all of these illegals have to come here to support their families, then why doesn't our illustrious government put more pressure on the Mexican government to take care of its own! They send part of their wages home and we Americans foot the bill for medical care, crime protection, prisons, anchor babies, etc. etc.

I would like to point out that no, immigrants usually make less money than we do IF they are undocumented workers. What we Americans do not understand is a life without "consumer driven euphoria." Undocumented workers live in apartment buildings with many roommates to be able to save the money on rent and send it home. I agree with Manuela. Nancy, get informed on the situation before you assume like so many Americans do.

Illegal aliens make good scapegoats. Yes, they do work for less, but who among us wants to care for other people's kids, dig ditches, bus tables, pick fruit? Our real economic problems come not from these illegals but from the outsourcing of American jobs. When was the last time you bought a garment made in the US? When was the last time you bought anything made in the US? Blame the greedy corporations who have no problems sending our jobs to China and to other countries instead of investing in our workers. God, we're even outsourcing our security.

Actually, Bill Nigh, Illegal aliens are Americans. They are descendants of the many tribes that first inhabited the southern region of this continent. True, they are not US citizens, but their bona fides as Americans are more valid than yours, I'll bet.

Mexicans do not think they have a special ability to enter the US. They are just hungry, their family is hungry. When have you ever seen an illegal alien living as a middle class American? Yes there are some living as lower class and most in poverty, but they will not attain the (US) American Dream, so American Citizens do not have to worry about competing for the American Dream. Most illegal aliens from Mexico, China, and yes even Canada come here to offer an honest days labor and live in American poverty standards so they my send a few bucks to their families. What these people are sending back to their families is change in most Americans' pockets. This is not hurting our economy in any way, in fact the labor these people offer is what supports our lifestyles by keeping most remedial labor wages down. If we as Americans would work hard on our education, go to college and get our degrees then we would never ever be competing for jobs illegal immigrants would hold. I have seen these people work and for what they get paid compared to the quality of work that is given is a huge rip off to the worker. Finally, What ICE needs to do is give the money back to the Feds and work on the real economic issues in our own government before it attacks people from another country.

I think you may misunderstand what transpired in the last 100 yrs or so. Mexico LOST the war...!!! They signed a treaty and released ALL claims on the territory.
Didn't you pay attention in school that day..? When two countries go to war, the winner keeps what is claimed in the papers signed to end hostilities.
I mean, we could have kept fighting all the way down the WHOLE continent, but I guess that the President at that time decided in his great mercy, to let the mexicans keep it.

Oscar Gonzalez represents one of the best ways of efficiently distributing foreign aid. He directly works for the money and what money he makes goes directly to the people in need, as opposed to the money coming from US taxpayers and then funneled through the US government to a potentially corrupt foreign government, which may or may not actually let those dollars trickle down to the common citizen.

I did work hard as a laborer when I was in high school and college, but now kids can't get those jobs anymore because, ILLEGALS have taken them all..!!!
Good American kids have been pushed out by the dirty illegals, and they need to go.
And if you had studied your history in school, you would have know that your GOVERMENT signed a treaty after we kicked your a** in the war, and all claims were given up by mexico. SO if you want you will have to come up here and TRY and take it back...? But you don't have the cajones since our country has about 500 million guns, and will fight every step of the way.
