When writing about women, you have to dip your pen in a rainbow and dust your lines with butterfly powder, said Diderot in reference to the evil inflicted upon women. Just by looking at this photo, one can glimpse all the horror that this gentle girl has suffered at the hands of stupid men and their stupid laws.
This woman is the metaphorical equivalent of an otter. We find otters cute and angelic, so we impart to them cute, angelic, HARMLESS attributes. An otter with rabies, however, is anything other than harmless. Folks, this girl may have done nothing to deserve her fate (and indeed be a victim of white male dominance), or she may have killed several people. Neither you nor I know anything about it. Please stop using her as an excuse to bash "stupid men and their stupid laws."
It bothers me greatly how easily we assume great and good qualities or psychotic, bad qualities based just on the judgment of beauty. That woman two photos back had everyone saying "oh my god she's so scary - too long in the jail cell".. but we know nothing about her and what she's really like. This girl "deserves a rainbow". Maybe so - but not because of her appearance, surely.

A beautiful face. Old enough to fight. Too young to know the consequences.

She is lovely - a siren. That probably worked in her favor during sentencing. Good looking people are more likely to receive lighter sentencing. There are actual studies on this, if you're interested:

None of that makes it any less sad.

She seems lost in the bleak surroundings. Such a young face begs the question "what were the circumstances leading up to such a dire fate"?
I only hope her crime was not too horrible and her sentance not too long, for her to redeem herself and find a better path.

Every child comes into this world with an open capacity for beauty and greatness...Then someone or something spoils everything.
