Other Hints For Greener Living:

  • Chews to reuse:
  • Don't spit those sunflower seed shells onto the ground. Grind them up in a bowl and place them in driveway and sidewalk cracks to prevent weeds from germinating.

  • Spark slug:
  • To keep your garden from getting slimed this spring, try a little heavy metal. Bury a 3-inch-high strip of flexible copper 1 inch deep in the soil. Slugs won't cross the barrier because it gives them an electrical shock.
