Brodner's Cartoon du Jour: Grasslier Than Thou

It's been a cathartic day going after AIG and the bonuses. It's a political chocolate factory; free righteous indignation about the bonuses (nobody's mentioning the billions going to banks through AIG that don't need them). Eliot Spitzer (yes him) wrote interestingly about that on Slate. Chuck Grassley last night called for the bonus boys to commit hara-kiri. To sample the current mood on Capitol Hill we've asked four representatives to join us for their take on AIG. Thank you panel.
Obama knew
Look, I am almost a democrat as well. I feel your pain, but don't you feel that it is shameful that Obama knew about these bonuses before he was even elected..er, I mean, frightened the American Public into accepting his authority over them. It is too bad that the democrat party voted for this bonus scheme in the first place. I guess it takes the Party of Lincoln to show who is really the wise choice for the leadership position in America. Doesn't this make you wish that you could change your party affiliation to something more reflicteve of the American People, which is Center Right?
Power Corrupts; Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely
Chris Dodd and Tim Geithner lied about not knowing about the AIG bonuses and the people who legally received the money get punished? Scary the kind of power those Democrats in Washington have.
Agreed alas. The rules
Agreed alas. The rules changed on all those bastards. They didn't realize the new rules would expose them as never before. This earthquake will kill not just a few. Dodd isn't crooked, just old school in a new school year. Just the same, he's toast. Geithner doesn't belong there in the first place.
