We begin this week with an update on events in Lebanon and the rest of the Middle East. University of San Francisco politics professor and peace and justice studies chair Stephen Zunes brings us up to date on the latest turmoil, including the assassination of a Christian cabinet minister in Lebanon.

Plus, Mother Jones' current issue has a special focus on corporate social responsibility. While some companies are simply "greenwashing" their images by making minor changes to their environmental policies, carpet-maker Interface committed itself to being completely green. We speak with Erin Meezan, Interface's director of sustainable development.

Also, Richard Viguerie is sometimes known as the "funding father" of conservatism due to his generous fundraising for right-wing causes. But now he's taking on the president and his cronies with "Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause." He says he thinks their strategy went something like this: "Let's decide that we are gonna govern and hold on to power with a one-word strategy -- and that one-word strategy is 'bribery.'"

Finally, the Pacifica Radio Archives contains half a century of voices and ideas you just won't hear in mainstream media. We talk to archive director Brian DeShazor and listen to some of the highlights of the past 50 years, including recordings of Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, and Pete Seeger. And Morey Meniscus interviews Tony Blair over a cup of tea.
