On Monday, the Democratic nominee for Illinois lieutenant governor, Scott Lee Cohen, formally withdrew from the race just two weeks after winning the primary amid revelations of a long history of domestic abuse. But Illinois Democrats aren't the only ones in need of better system of background checks. Here's a quick look at some of the worst vetting oversights in recent political history.
