Philip Levine March 5, 2001 The Clinton-Gore years were kind to Philip Levine, and the 38-year-old president of Onboard Media wanted to keep the good times going. "I look at myself as an American, and I've done unbelievable," Levine crowed at a Democratic fundraiser at his South Florida home last year, urging his fellow multimillionaires to support Al Gore. "And I think a lot of you have." The dinner raised $250,000 for the Democratic National Committee. The meal may have been Levine's way of returning a little Democratic hospitality. He was invited to the White House in 1999 -- right around the time he gave $35,000 to Hillary Clinton to support her Senate bid. Founded in 1989, Onboard Media provides "customized media programs for luxury cruise lines, leading hotels, and other businesses." The Miami Beach company's motto is "Revolutionizing Revenue through Media." Levine is also president of Berkshire Cruise Holdings and sits on the board of directors of Colonial Bank South Florida. -- Brett Coker | | |
