Charlie LeDuff ("What Killed Aiyana Stanley-Jones?"), now a reporter with the Detroit News, won a Pulitzer for his work on the New York Times’ "How Race Is Lived in America" series. A member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians, he’s writing a memoir about his hometown—and his family’s complex racial history—titled Detroit: An American Autopsy, due out next year. Contributing photographer Danny Wilcox Frazier‘s documentary project on Iowa was nominated for a 2010 Emmy award.

Jeff Sharlet‘s "Junkets for Jesus" was adapted from his recent book C Street: The Fundamentalist Threat to American Democracy. Sean McCabe has illustrated Chris Rock, Johnny Depp, and Ben Bernanke.
