The Official Story: Operated for the Department of Energy by Bechtel, the site is now called the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL).

The Terrible Truth: Three military technicians were killed in 1961 in an explosion related to the fuel rods they were carrying. They were buried in lead coffins.
