David Corn and Time magazine’s Mark Halperin joined Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s Hardball to discuss the latest political poll results and what they say about the GOP’s chances in the 2012 election. Recent polls show Barack Obama’s approval rating is at 53 percent, up nine points since November. The polls also show that when Obama is pitted against Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, he beats them by 10 and 11 points, respectively.
