When the National Rifle Association unveiled its 225-page report for safeguarding school children, it cited a recent massacre in Minnesota as part of its rationale for arming and fortifying America’s schools. But as senior editor Mark Follman reported, the massacre that the NRA presented as evidence does not actually exist.
