Sorry MaryLu, but "noticing" that certain asian cultures eat dogs does not make one a racist. Just as having a friend of a different race and referring to them as "black" or "asian" doesn't as well. Simliarly, ignoring differences in cultures does not make one "un"-racist.

Racism? Classism? You got that from two quotes and a one sentence comment? It seems to me that you are making assumptions and seeing things that are not there. Although, distasteful to me, eating squirrel is not unheard of in my deep south, 'neck of the woods. And, while a candidate's eating habits are not on my list of criteria for a potential President, Huckabee is sorely lacking in those that are.
Eating squirrels, how does this differ from eating beef? Squirrels are lean meat and beef is full of artery clogging fat. No wonder you dumb fat farting Americans are falling like flies from heart disease. Oh well, just more land for us Chinese. I am a vegetarian and we don't get fat and fart(CO2 green house gas) like you meat eaters. Beef cows are a major contributor to green house gases. Squirrels are not(they only make tiny farts).
Comments about classism and racism aside, I think any party that would let a man who makes comments like this get what they deserve. I think we have another Dubya in the wings.
I'm from Georgia and I think squirrels became passe after the Depression, as did possum.
