Doonesbury Continues the Crusade
We mentioned yesterday that Doonesbury is running with a theme Mother Jones wrote about a few weeks back, namely that John McCain slams the role lobbyists have played in the financial meltdown while keeping dozens of Wall Street lobbyists on his campaign payroll. Here's yesterday's strip:

Today, strip author Garry Trudeau continues the theme. Trudeau is naming, on average, 7.5 lobbyists in each strip. One wonders if he's in this for the long haul...
How about that "sudenly missing" SNL skit on the meltdown? hehehehehe
Where might I obtain a copy of the missing SNL skit on the meltdown? I would really love to see and hear that.

Trudeau was the (only) comic strip artist who listed the names of the Iraq War dead in his strip -- to the righteous indignation of many Neo-Cons, who abstractly lionize the sacrifices of our service members, but would prefer their loss of life to remain anonymous.
Doonesbury has paid its dues, in that and other ways; and Trudeau can do as he likes, with my blessing.
