Michelle Obama Touring DC Private Schools Today
Alas, public schools don't seem to make the short list for the Obama girls. Michelle Obama is slated to visit Georgetown Day School (where many of her husband's close advisers send their kids) and the Maret School today, and is also apparently considering Sidwell Friends, which Joe Biden's grandchildren attend. No big surprise here, really. But this should come as welcome news to many of our commenters who seem to think that public school is too much of a security risk for the president's kids, a sentiment I find sort of odd given that many DC schools already have metal detectors installed at the front door. DC schools know quite a bit about security, but apparently not enough about VIPs to make the cut.

Wow, that's a little harsh. Don't you think those girls are going to have enough changes in their lives? Do they also have to attend what many believe to be the country's worst public schools?
This should go a long way to alleviating the notion that the Obamas are elitists.
Perhaps they can get their good friend Bill Ayers --- an educational reform of some notoriety --- to assist them in making their final selection.
Seriously, stop using their children as a political tool. The Obamas have every right to decide to send their kids to private schools. I believe in public schooling but absent serious improvements in the ones in our area, we plan to send our kids to private school, too.
DC public schools are some of the worst in the nation. Why would they send them to public school if they are millionaires and can afford private school?
Sucks for the commoners though. If only DC had higher taxes. That would fix it!
What a message it would be if the Obama's did this! Many of us choose to use urban public schools because the benefits outweigh the negatives. Of course the author is angry: I get angry too when I know that if all the other parent's would use the public schools there would be a great change...but there is always some excuse not to do it. My kids were once in private schools - looking back I think I was sacrificing them then to a set of values which were not mine and are not the Obama's from what we know of them.
What to say, what to say....People who just can't let th e Ayres story go are brain dead and should be taken off of life support. There, that should cover it.
Bush committed hate crimes
Speaking of First Lady Michelle Obama:
Michelle Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in her heart and mind she inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
Bush has a lot to worry about.
Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
Teen private boarding schools
A teen private boarding school is a place where the students can read, write and learn the new facts of life. They have the qualified and trained professionals, who are very dedicated in their work. Students of these schools can take part in school cultural programs.
