Beck Watch: Boycott Decimates Advertisers
Five hundred and sixty thousand dollars. That's what ColorofChange estimates Glenn Beck has cost Fox News since the beginning of the Beck boycott last month. Despite lackluster boycott publicity and the much-ballyhooed 9/12 march on Washington, 62 national advertisers appear to have dropped the show since August.
Here's the list of who's still hangin' in there
Lear Capital
Liberty Medical
ExtenZe
News Corp. (The Wall Street Journal)
Rosland Capital
LifeLock
Conservatives for Patient's Rights
Clarity Media Group (The Weekly Standard)
Roche Diagnostics (Accu-Chek Aviva)
Citrix (GoToMeeting)
Merit Financial
Goldline International, Inc
Carbonite

I don't think you get it at all.
He is a performance artist and this isn't about the money.
He got a million people out.
You think like a shopkeeper. He is an artist. Artists don't do it for the money. They do it for art.
No, you don't get it at all.
It was genius.
I disagree with them in the health care issue, I think everyone should have the same deal that Congress and the President have, but both parties have got to go and the crooks, thieves, shills, monsters and liars have got to be shown the door.
We cannot afford this crap.
As for healthcare, if we eliminate the profits and just provide the care without paying for the infrastructure to cheat people out of health care to get some bigger numbers in the accounts, we can all have what Obama and Congress have. Also, we cannot keep fighting wars and not manufacturing things. Clinton gutted us. Bush bankrupted us. Look at what Obama is doing to us.
Four more years of Bush and Cheney starring Obama and Biden.
Something Stinks!
He might not care about money
But Big Murdoch does...
Glenn Beck
Glen Beck lied; no more than 50 thousand were out and the photo that is circulationg is from over 5 years ago (buildings built since then are missing) so this is again a fabricated 'astroturf' protest featuring 50 thousand ignoramuses that are too lazy to check facts. Eat it Something Stinks.
THE Photo? There are
THE Photo? There are hundreds of photos! Dozens taken by friends of mine who went to D.C. from Texas alone! Which buildings are you talking about that are "missing?" Which ones? From THE photo. It should be easy for you to designate the "missing" buildings, since (A) you must be familiar with the urban landscape to which you refer, and (B) there is just THE photo to which you refer.
Yeah. Tell us.
Frankie Spit
I'm not too lazy to check the facts. Let's check the facts. You say buildings that have been built since THE photo was taken are missing from THE photo being circulated.
Let's check the facts, Frankie Spit. Which buildings?
Or, you could point to just
Or, you could point to just one of those dozens of photographs that show more than a block or two worth of people. The ancient photograph with the native american museum missing probably really is close to a million people. But it wasn't taken last weekend. And the photos that really were taken last weekend show fifty to seventy thousand people.
You want us to point to an obviously fake or empty picture and let you say "that's not the one we counted from."
You say that many photos were taken showing all the people. You say that there's proof out there. Your job is to point to a few of the photos.
Sleaziness
The generally sleazy character of this list speaks volumes. With two or three exceptions, these advertisers are all in Beck's business -- finding suckers and making them afraid.
I watched fifteen seconds of him.
I figured there were a boatload of stupid people out there.
But he isn't. He is an entertainer.
He doesn't appeal to me at all. I never patronize Rush or any of them. I have a toilet and if I ever want to stick my head in it, I know where it is. But people are fed up. He is able to advantage that and produce a crowd.
He didn't come up with those ideas. The same people that were against Bush from the start are also against Obama. It's the same old shit. We don't believe them anymore. None of our leaders and none of the MSM are trustworthy.
Something Stinks!
"The same people that were
"The same people that were against Bush from the start are also against Obama."
Are you out of your mind again Mr. Stinks? So where are your quotes from Limbaugh, Beck, etc against Bush?
Beck and Limbaugh are not anti-fascist, and anti-war.
Anyone who is antifascist and anti-war has opposed both of them from the beginning. Not that many people are that smart or ethical but we do exist.
The current "anti-socialists" are merely ignorant having been "educated" by the MSM. If any of them had it explained to them, they would see that we do have socialism but is for the corporations, not welfare mothers and the poor, and the better word for that is Fascism.
Neocons sponsor Beck and Limbaugh and Obama carries out the policies of the Neocons so exactly what kind of game is being played here?
Flim Flam and Scam the people.
I can't believe anyone listens to Beck and Limbaugh, but that is the result of inferior public education and propaganda instead of news.
Who sold us the Wars and the Bailouts?
It wasn't Goebbals.
Something Stinks!
NOOOOO!!!!!
Not you, ExtenZe!! Say it ain't sooooo! I know you Beck gives you free spots in exchange for a free subscription to your AMAZING product, but please, you don't need him like he NEEDS you!!
Get out before he hurts you and all of us.
Love,
peanut
Missing buildings
The photo showing crowds extending from the Capitol to the Washington Monument is the one from over a decade ago. The National Museum of the American Indian is not in the photo. It was completed in 2005. There are large cranes visible in from of the Smithsonian and, according to the museum, it has not had that level of construction since 1997.
Correction
The National Museum of the American Indian's National Mall location was opened in 2004, not in 2005 as I stated above.
Ha Haaa American
Ha Haaa
American Correspondent, where's your cocky attitude now?
Just use Google Maps or other of area and you too can see
Look at Beck's alleged photo and look at any of the aerial map features on Google Mapquest etc and you can see what everyone is talking about. Beck is a showman. I don't buy his line of thinking, but he saw a niche and he is filling it and his pockets. Where I grew up there were a ton of anti-government welfare, anti everything that helped others. They proclaimed how they worked hard and were self-made. These are the same people who relied (and still rely) on the govt to educate their kids, subsizdize the ability to "own" their house, "own" their car, send their kids to college and pay for grandma and grandpa when they are in the hospital. When reminded of these facts they always did the same thing - stop talking - blank look on face with eye rollled up - shake of head that reflected "hmm I never thought of that" and then stated "its not the same" without any elaboration. These are he same types who became solid Republicans without thinking how the republican party dismantled the unions that enabled that their parents and grandparent to fight for. Welfare exists on all levels. Individuals need it to live and eat. Corporations such as McDonalds ConAgra etc get it also in the form of tax credits and subsidies. Different name - same thing.
Boycott
Well, it is Freedom of Speech in the end. I don't like what you say so I'm not going to support it. That's my right. If Fox News likes Beck so much they can continue to subsidize him.
Almost all the media
Almost all the media organizations are losing money these days. That's irrelevant. Murdoch and his merry band of lying crooks don't care about the money, they already have more than they could ever spend. They only care about their power and that of their fellow racist sociopath dregs in a so-called country on the Mediterranean that desperately needs a brainwashed American public to keep it's wars, thievery and dirty financial scams going.
I sincerely doubt Goebbels cared about the money, either.
