McCain Denies Ever Saying He Lacks Expertise on Economy
John McCain is a honest dude. Sure, he flip-flops on stuff (see the bottom of this post), but he utters truths that a lot of other politicians wouldn't. A perfect example is his statement from December 2007: "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should." He's said similar things as well.
Problem is, uttering truths doesn't help you run for president. (Shocker, right? Is it a sign of a fundamental idealism or innocence that writing that statement genuinely upset me?) So now McCain is not just insisting that he does have economic expertise, he's actually denying that he said the statement in question. Think Progress has the depressing, not-very-honest details. Running for president makes messes of good men.

MC-CAIN’S EXTRAORDINARY CHARACTER AND UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
Considering his:
• Sacrifice of American Wealth and Blood for the Sole Benefit of Israel
• Amnesty for Illegal Mexicans Aliens Usurping Jobs and Services
• Outsourcing of Jobs and Technology to China
• Early Release from Captivity for Military Secrets
• McCain-Feingold Legislation Suppressing Freedom of Speech
• McCain-Leiberman Control Gun Legislation
• Slander and Ridicule of Huckabee, Romney, and Ron Paul
• Roberts and Falwell, “agents of intolerance”
• Roe vs. Wade Sacrificial Killing of Children
• To “occupy Iraq for 100 years”, “bomb Iran”, and “just keep Afghanistan”.
• Veto of Bush Tax Cuts
• Keating Five Crooks
• Unsolved Recession and Inflation Problem
• Unsolved Heath Care Problem
• Unsolved Social Security Problem
• Long Scandalous, Contentious, and Non-Productive Political Career
Can such an incompetent and dishonest politician; and such a pretentious Christian and patriot, insanely dishonoring Christian culture and Constitution rule, ever be trusted to cherish and honor the American People?
McCain's ace-up-the-sleeve is that he can simply say he forgot, like Reagan. He is getting up there in age, and he was held captive for 5 years...and we'll overlook & forget about his blatant dishonesty. If we criticize him, we'll be accused of unpatriotic ageism...it's a win-win for the old man.
Besides, YouTube, blogs, posted videos, etc. - those are the tools of the young & irresponsible. Wiser, seasoned minds like McCain's would never stoop to such a level. Who do you trust now, seriously? Someone who has never crashed a fighter plane, or someone who might nuke Cuba for once and for all?!

"Running for president makes messes of good men."
Huh? Do you personally know McCain? Can you vouch for his character as a "good man"? If not, please stop buying into and propagating the image (because it is, after all, nothing more than an image to the hundreds of millions of us who will never actually meet the man, and will instead potentially have to endure the *policies* he wishes to implement) of McCain as an honorable fellow. It's irrelevant.

What he lacks is expertise on the modern information age. Back when he was a campaign volunteer for Woodrow Wilson, you could say any kind of BS you wanted, deny you said it, and if you got called on it, just defend your honor and punch the guy. It's a different world now.

Does Obama admit to stating that he had been to all "57" states? Maybe it was some sort of coded reference to Heinz 57 varieties and John Kerry's wife. Mysterious! I steeled myself in 2008 to submissively support Kerry, but this time, I'm voting for a minor candidate.

It would seem that both of our presidential candidates have a need for some form of a psychological key—so as to unlock their contradictory natures in form of a revelation as opposed to a continuous sequence of white lies—something that is akin to the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, whose carefully ordered and perfected collections of aphorisms appear to be nothing more than a chaotic assemblage of witty but totally contradictory statements. The key is thus seemingly some aspect of human nature that allows us to contradict ourselves as a means to see ourselves more clearly (or just as likely a means to not see ourselves clearly)—because nothing is more contradictory than the human spirit. Of course if we were to envision ourselves as a species who is condemned to absolute perpetual repetition of living this life over and over again, separated in duration by the eternal recurrence of the universe but without a single alteration in our lives—condemned to live each and every instant of this one and only singular life for all eternity and yet feel as though we are whole and singular in our cognitive essence (the little voice up in the noggin that squeaks “I'm me ”) then the very nature of our being builds from a contradiction since we are always both conscious and unconscious of ourselves at the same time (that's why we still feel like we are who we are even when we contradict ourselves). The unconscious carries in it a whole set of opposites but at each instant it is equally possible that some event out in the world calls up from the depths of our being this opposite notion—thus, 'I don't know, ...I'm not an expert on the economy', can just as easily become 'I never said that, I have great understanding of the economy' especially when the nature of one's existence has become reduced to playing the role of—'I am all things to all people—I am your answer—so vote for me'.
Still it would seem to me that no change will ever come about unless people say—I can only change by not doing what I always do, meaning it is not possible to vote for dogmatic change or if you prefer a “changeling”. Unfortunately morons, halfwits, imbeciles, retards, (i.e. changelings) seem to be the only people who achieve the rank of presidential candidates (this is because they are all things to all people and consequently stand for nothing at all)—and we the conscientious voter must vote—if for nothing else then for the sake of tradition—this too is a contradiction. How can we change this?

What is the Real National Debt?
http://www.pgpf.org/blog/?storyId=21212
McCain may deny it, but he definitely has admitted that he knows nothing about the economy, so maybe that is why there is not any political talk about the true 57.7 TRILLION dollar National Debt that the corporate DLC and the REPUBLICANS continue to grow even larger as they continue the funding of their private wars for profit.
Each citizen of the United States is currently burdened with $175,000. of debt of the 57.7 TRILLION ran up by this Bush administration with the help of the DLC Republican Democrats.
Hopefully, Obama's plan will work for the people, because if Obama's plan doesn't work, there is really going to be a remarkable change in the 70% majority common population, which won't be for the better, since there is no hope in the REPUBLICAN lap dog McCain following the conservative propaganda that got us into this mess.
