A Clintonite Channels Joe Lieberman

Today on Sean Hannity's radio show, Lanny Davis, who was one of Hillary Clinton's most prominent surrogates during the primaries, said:

You know, I would consider voting for McCain on character and on the kind of human being he is because I have great--I know him--I have great admiration for him. I would sleep well at night if John McCain is President. But on the issues, Barack Obama is for the issues that I care about.

That, as they might say at Obama HQ, is not helpful. If Hillary Hold-ons pose a problem for Barack Obama (as I noted earlier), then the key placers in Hillaryland have to do all they can to encourage these voters to put aside any resentment and swing behind Obama. Cynical political observers--and perhaps not-so-cynical observers--can wonder if Davis' remarks reflect a reluctance within the inner Clinton circle to do that and a desire to keep the anti-Obama pot boiling.

First of all I have to say how sorry I am that you had to listen to a Sean Hannity Radio show.

I can't understand the thinking behind Clinton supporters getting mad and then getting behind McCain. Does McCain and HRC have that much in common?
I mean sure they both make corporations and their lobbyist's drool like Pavlov's dog when the dinner bell rings but they have their differences, don't they?
I'm having a hard enough time understanding McCain's poll numbers.
You have to ask "Just how stupid is the average American voter"?

What I do understand is the frustration people feel with this broken election process and the sad choice of candidates. This is what happens when the corporate media decides who is viable.
I don't see Obama as the candidate for "Hope and Change" but he does seem like a marginally better choice than HRC.
I don't even consider McCain as a viable choice, period. McCain comes off like a delusional bitter old man who should retire and enjoy his money and not pursue delusions of grandeur.

I sure wish Kucinich could come back.
Now there was a candidate that represented change!

Us V. Them.the only form of "politics" that seems to understood these day's...it is more important to.."win" than it is to actually "lead" or...anything else for that matter..too bad...this is getting so...surreal...folks...aint it?
Will you pay for a war in Iran? Will you pay for the denial of your liberty?
It's time for a General tax Strike...you are footing the bill for torture, illegal war, telecom immunity..on and on..YOU are COMPLICIT!
Wake up folks..it's ALL about the MONEY! Where is nader? Where is Sheehan on the issue of regaining control of the MONEY..and thence..our "Representatives"..return our Civil Liberties to us..then we'll pay...THAT should be the rallying cry...but instead it is.."Who, What, Where, Why"..the Celebrity Candidate game..Fools names and FOOLS faces...and MONEY is the REALITY!

And that would be exactly why Hillary lost to someone new on the scene: she - and her campaign - could not grasp how hopeless and wearisome their approach seemed to many post-modern Americans. She was one election too late, except for those whose values were set in an earlier time. America will never be that way again.
