We Said We Wanted Rick's Record Examined? Scratch That
John McCain, yesterday on CNBC:
My campaign manager [Rick Davis] has stopped [lobbying for Fannie Mae], has had nothing to do with it since, and I'll be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it.
The New York Times, today:
Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.
The McCain campaign, today, in response to the Times:
"Whatever the New York Times once was, it is today not by any standard a journalistic organization.... [it is] an organization completely, totally 150-percent in the tank for the Democratic candidate."
H/T Think Progress.

Is he wrong?
I don't think so.
He could as well have been talking about Mother Jones, too, except he'd have to jack that percentage up quite a bit.
Sucks that everyone learned extreme partisanship from Fox & Co. so well, huh? Not as much fun when mainstream media isn't 150% in the tank for corporate right-wing neo-cons? Especially when your campaign is forced to lie on every single subject that could come up to seem even remotely honest.

Could you point me towards the real journalists than please? Who is to say where credibility is these days?

Very good sectarian response. We all know the Jehovah's Witnesses are full of crap. But yet they still persuade. Once you can establish an us v. them mentality, you will always congeal the base. Whose strategy was that? Rove baby. It's about social and sectarian boundaries and has nothing to do with truth at all.

We certainly don't come here to get journalism without bias.
We come here to get journalism with OUR bias.
(...and to denegrate those who go to other sources which exhibit a bias that matches their own...)

at least mother jones doesn't try to hide the fact that is liberal. unlike "fair and balanced" fox news that claims it just presents the facts.

Right, when I want journalism without bias I don't come to Mother, I go to littlegreenfootbals.com

That was brilliant. I love how they invited the scrutiny, validating that if it WERE true it would be news worthy [why challenge the media to look into it otherwise?] and then, when NYT takes them up on it and proves McCain a big, fat liar [not new news], they come back with the insults. Why can't this 'Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire' thing about McCain-Palin get stronger coverage and gain momentum? I mean, in the MSM? [I'm not dumb; I know why not at Fox, but still...]
