Designed Dissent

Editorials can, in a thousand words or so, sum up the links between, say, fast food and obesity-related deaths, or gas consumption and our crusade into Iraq. But for the practitioners of agitprop, a well-crafted image gets the point across in a much more immediate, visceral way. A new book, Graphic Agitation 2, collects the social and political graphic art of the past dozen years, when traditional poster art recombined with "culture jamming" to take on the issues of the day.
