Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, and Bernie Sanders will appear at a special Iowa forum tonight to answer questions about issues that affect people of color and young people.
The Iowa Black and Brown Forum starts at 8 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Fusion's cable network. It's likely that social justice, immigration, education, health care, and the economy will be hot topics. Social justice and police violence have become major issues during the campaign as the influential Black Lives Matter movement has organized demonstrations around the nation to protest the deaths of people who have died in police custody or who were shot by officers.
The forum will be moderated by Fusion anchors Jorge Ramos and Alicia Menendez as well as Fusion contributor Akilah Hughes and New York magazine writer-at-large Rembert Browne. The event will be held at Drake University in Des Moines.
Fusion scrapped a similar forum for Republican candidates because of "unresolved scheduling conflicts."
