Emma Silvers

Emma is a Berkeley native who enjoys consuming and writing about arts and culture. She has also worked as a baker and copy editor, and is accordingly very particular about croissant texture and AP style.

Before joining Mother Jones, Emma spent a year at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where she covered housing, homelessness, and other social issues in Upper Manhattan. Her work has appeared on Salon.com, The Rumpus, and in a number of alternative weeklies.
