I suppose there are many connections between the secular & spiritual, but "sugar tariffs bad becaause Jews can't eat anything sweetened with corn syrup during Passover" doesn't seem to me to be one of them.
Firstly, who cares about the jews? a) Coke with sugar tastes better. b) I don't need to be tempted by better tasting coke. c) the tariff should be increased.
Secondly, corn is clearly not chametz. It tastes different, is native to the Americas, and almost never is incorporated into yeast leavened products. The rabbis are power tripping.
