Saturday Cat Blogging - 4 July 2009
Last week we had double catblogging. So how do I make up for the site being down all day yesterday? Triple catblogging! Six pictures instead of the usual two.
Inkblot gets a series of action shots today. It goes something like this: (1) Ah, a string on the end of a stick. The classics are always the best. I think I'll roll over and smack it. (2) Whoa! Where'd the edge of the table come from? Flip back over, quick! (3) I'm calling OSHA. You guys really ought to put up a guardrail or something. (4) OK, that's better.
And Domino? Not much action here. Just the usual sun worshipping. Have a nice Fourth, everyone!

When a cat rolls its ears back and closes its eyes, you know whatever you're doing feels sooo good!
And when you stop, you are immediately greeted by an open-eyed look asking, "Why did you stop? You just started!" (even if you were doing it for ten minutes and your hand is ready to fall off).
Per the late George Carlin's comments on dogs: there are only two kinds of time...Right Now and Forever. It was going to go on Forever.
Cats falling
Few things are funnier than a cat falling off something.
I was once sitting in an armchair, petting the cat sitting on the end table next to me. He did the head-rubbing-the-petting-hand routine, overbalanced at the end of the table, and tumbled off. He pulled himself together, then stalked out of the room, giving me a look that clearly blamed me for the mishap.

As much as the fire at MoJo server farm, whatever, was troubling--serious, the idea that Friday would go by without depictions of the Great I and D, well, I was ridiculously upset (forget Sarah ruminations). Had no idea of my dependency. All fixed now....

Only trouble is, that kitty is so obviously just a pet that he almost single-handedly (single-pawedly?) gives to the lie to all those DNA studies that say pet cats have not diverged from feral. Any animal that can't paw at a toy without falling off a table cannot be any kind of fearsome wild hunter.
