Hillary Clinton Nabs Prestigious 50 Cent Endorsement

50 and Hil

In an interview with MTV News, 32-year-old Curtis James Jackson, otherwise known as rapper 50 Cent, revealed his views on our current president ("he has less compassion than a regular human being") and came out in favor of Hillary in '08, for reasons the candidate might call right and not-so-right:

I'd like to see Hillary Clinton be president. It would be nice to see a woman be the actual president and ... this is a way for us to have Bill Clinton be president again, and he did a great job during his term.

While his statement might seem a little self-contradictory, I'll go down on record as feeling a little bit the same way.

So-called "backpack" rappers like Talib Kweli and Common have been giving shout-outs to Obama in their songs lately (Common's single, "The People," says "My raps ignite the people like Obama") but Hil may have a good strategy by going after the platinum-sellers. The big question is: who will get Lil Wayne on their side.

50 Cent has a right to his opinion. But, no one in their informed mind would want a return to the Bill Clinton era. This is one reason I will not vote for Hillary if she wins the democratic nomination. Considering the fact that we have in California three strong, intelligent, experienced women representing us, I could definitely vote for a woman for president in the future. In my view, Hillary is doing nothing more than riding on her husband's questionable coat tails and misrepresenting her legislative accomplishments in the Senate.

As a European I have to agree with 50 cents. After 8 years with the sick cowboy from Texas it is time for the US to get a kick in the ass and stop the terror in the rest of the world. Clinton was much better for the world community, even if I think the Clintons need a lot of improvement in human right. It was totally unacceptable to sign a low that violated treaties signed just four years earlier. Maybe Hillary could do a better job this time, even if she may use Bill for advice. I can only hope that the next president will get the US off the list worst human rights offenders in the world. The hearing in May 2006 didn’t paint a good picture of the country, and questioning didn’t even hit hard on the domestic human rights abuses due to being overshadowed by military human rights abuse questioning. It was as if the hearing was a reflection of the new media, where it was more important to take credit for news that already had been reported. Even today there is hardly any reporting on domestic violence and human rights abuses. It just doesn’t fit in the entertainment style news.

I am not sure whether 50 cent has a brain to understand policies.
He wants a woman in the whitehouse regardless of where she stands? So for him, gender is more important than real issues the country face!
Hum...that's very inspiring...

Well, back to reality. 50 cent doesn't vote anyway, so his opinion is irelevant.

I would be voting for Obama, even though I do not agree on all of his policies.

28 years of Clinton-Bush-Clinton...too much for me.
This is not the UK.

As much as I had problems with Bill Clinton, after 7 years of Bush, I'd take any Clinton any day. I won't be voting for Hillary either, but if she becomes president, I will breathe a sigh of relief for the end of the Bush years and the fact that none of the current GOP candidates won.

Lets see..the Clinton era: great economy, no American debt,Budget Surplus, The world loved us, Progress on the Environment, Job rates high, Unemployement low. Hmmm, yet no one in their right mind would want to return to this? Thats pretty INSANE. I would jump for joy to have those years back and the last of the Bush "worst President" years. American went downhill when he became President.

Anyone who has studied economics knows that the President has extremely little to do with the economy at that moment. It's a cyclical thing and will come and go...period. That being said, as the mother of 3 boys ages 12,8, and 3 I am to this day answering questions about Bill Clinton's moral compass. Having to explain to my son that our President was having his penis sucked in the White House angers me to no end!! And no American debt during the Clinton Presidency? Where are you getting your facts? I'm 38 years old. There has been American debt since before I was born!! 50 cent is an uneducated rapper. Who cares what he thinks. When he gets a degree in something other than dirty rhymes and actually contributes something worthwhile to this society then maybe his opinion will be worth listening to.

I'm sorry, I stopped reading after "PRESTIGIOUS 50 Cent Endorsment." Was that sarcasm? He's a convicted felon who can't even vote. Is that considered prestige these days? If so, I'm totally out of the loop...thankfully!

A good President brings about a good government and a good government creates the enabling conducive environment for economic boom.
The Clinton Era was better than the later years.

Hillary Clinton has a good record.

Go and check the facts.

God bless you.

'm totally out of the loop...thankfully!

Eh? This is the man who came out publically in favour of the Bush Administration a couple of years back!

If this idiot supports Hilary, that says it all..
