Clinton has to build the facilities of democracy. Encourage more access to telecommunication systems. Citizen- action channels like home shopping. Give phone numbers and citizen groups information. Voter, citizen, taxpayer, consumer, worker, shareholder, and student are all our roles in a democracy, and none of the tools have advanced since the early 19th century. Protest is done like it was a century ago. It’s primitive, given our technology and facilities. Government and corporations have technology. Hotels and universities do. Only consumers and citizens don’t.
