A 14-year-old kid was arrested for making a clock while Muslim. The whole thing is pretty outrageous and basically everyone is outraged. This tweet sums up what’s so insane about the school’s excuse.
Saying “We mistook the clock for a bomb” is a real greasy way of side-stepping the truth: “We mistook the kid for a bomb-maker.”
