Political Persecution of Michael Moore!
Michael Moore's latest attack film, Sicko, will skewer U.S. health care: a fitting target at an opportune time, you have to admit. In true Moore fashion, he proves his point with well-executed sensationalism: He takes workers whose health deteriorated after they participated in the 9/11 cleanup to get care they can't get in the United States in Cuba. Take that, conservatives. Only thing is, the Bush administration now has film footage of Michael Moore committing a crime—or, well, violating a trade embargo, but either way, they were not about to pass up an opportunity to make the filmmaker pay for Fahrenheit 9/11. In a letter dated May 2, Moore was notified by Treasury that the department is conducting a civil investigation into his violation. We wish him luck, even though he was a notorious a-hole during his brief tenure as editor-in-chief of Mother Jones.

I hope he dies in a fire
I don't like Micheal Moore. But the truth about the sick 911 workers needs to be exposed.
I'm supporting him on this one.

Oh puh-leez. White House quietly sends him a letter saying they investigated him. He replies by posting an open letter reply on his website, which conveniently and shamelessly plugs his new movie.
"Sensational" is an understatement, and all you're doing by printing this is feeding his fire.

As a proggressive individual, I support the same issues Mr. Moore champions. I do feel that his use of sensationalism and his manipulation of the facts does more to provide fodder for conservatives in their attempt to discredit these issues. He's fox news for the liberal politic. These issues will only be addressed by the population as a whole if we address them with truth, honesty, and integrity.

Sensationalism? Mentioning 9/11 everytime they need more billions to secure the Middle East for ExxonMobil is sensationalism. Michael Moore is trying to make a buck the honest way and perhaps helping someone else along the way. Just because of some petty office resentment isn't a good enough reason to put down somebody who is at least trying to make this country look at itself.

Hey Hey. This is addressed to any conservatives and or government officials who might be skimming through this cite looking for people to investigate. If you think Michael Moore is a problem, wait until you get a load of me. I'm a communist. So put that in your file and investigate it.

Shining a light on the audacity to use/kill our children, among others, to line all the wealthy of the worlds pockets,...
Controlling our first right, the right to free speech,(and to have a different opinion) in any way they can. This adminstration has done this to high level generals, US prosecuters, anyone exposing the the vast and numerous lie.Willing to explore any means, including falsely slandering anyone to obtain and retain their position, as only their strictly interpreted position is correct, down to any and all morale positions they deem we all should live our lives by.
Doesn't sound like a democracy, does it!

Michael Moore probably believes in the principle of moral suasion. Based on John 3:20 it states that those who do evil do so in secret so that their evil is undetected. IF our mass media made any attempt to expose the willful misconduct of authority figures or expose the internal inconsistencies of "conventional wisdom" Michael Moore would be overkill. However, exposing evil is clearly not an effective strategy when those in authority can easily obscure the issues raised with a shrill "difference of opinion" argument without ever having to address issues raised.
It would be honest to actually address issues brought up by Michael Moore. But those guilty of the willful misconduct deflect attention to Michael Moore's necessarily abrasive personality. Contrary to the teachings of Chairman Mao it is not OK to lie for a good cause and the misbehavior of those in authority are never OK due to the misconduct of others.

The primary reason that GWB and his ilk are in power, is the propensity of those outraged by the numerous regressions the current adminsitration has foisted on the American public, to fight among themselves rather than work together. I suggest that we tolerate (and correct where possible) MM's shortcomings, while recognizing the indisputable value of his courage, social conscience and journalistic skills; and supporting his legitimate right to conduct research for an article on Cuban health care. At most, he may have been guilty of a procedural error (as well as a few relatively minor human failings).

This Cheney-Bush corruption and incompetence is shameful!
After all of the deaths that they have caused in Iraq, they are brazen enough to try to cause trouble for Michael Moore!
This regime recalls that of East Germany's DDR. They are playing with fire.
Michael Moore is so rightfully supported by the rational people all over the world. He won the Palme d'Or at Cannes for 'Fahrenheit 9/11'! He won the Academy Award for 'Bowling for Columbine'! He continually speaks out against incompetent and corrupt Cheney, Bush, Rice, ... and the rest of these repulsive maggots!
Es lebe die Freiheit! Lang lebe Michael Moore!
