A lot of the evangelicals believe God would give us four more years of Obama just for the opportunity to expose the cult of Mormon. There’s a thousand pastors ready to do that.
Gingrich may have fired Bergman, but that doesn’t change the truth of what he said. The antipathy of evangelicals toward the Mormon church is widely known and of long standing, and it’s a real problem for Romney even if it doesn’t get talked about much.
