Corn on “Hardball”: Why the GOP Has Voted to Repeal Obamacare 40 Times

Friday, House Republicans voted to repeal the Affordable Care Actfor the 40th time. “This is about 2016,” DC bureau chief David Corn noted on MSNBC. With nothing else happening in Congress, Republicans can get attention by holding the same vote over and over again, and they’re hoping it will pay off down the road. Watch Corn discuss the votes, and whether they’ll backfire for the GOP, with the Huffington Post‘s Sam Stein on MSNBC‘s Hardball:

David Corn is Mother Jones’ Washington bureau chief. For more of his stories, click here. He’s also on Twitter.

THANK YOU.

We recently wrapped up the crowdfunding campaign for our ambitious Mother Jones Corruption Project, and it was a smashing success. About 10,364 readers pitched in with donations averaging $45, and together they contributed about $467,374 toward our $500,000 goal.

That's amazing. We still have donations from letters we sent in the mail coming back to us, so we're on pace to hit—if not exceed—that goal. Thank you so much. We'll keep you posted here as the project ramps up, and you can join the hundreds of readers who have alerted us to corruption to dig into.
